With Batista’s latest injury, whispers of his career ending are popping up in the wrestling world. At the age of 40, Batista has developed a history of serious injuries during his time with the WWE.

Batista was originally trained by “The Wild Samoan” Afa at the Wild Samoan Training Center. In 2000, Batista was signed by the WWE to join their developmental promotion OVW. He wrestled under the name of Leviathan for two years.
Batista debuted on WWE television at the May 9, 2002 episode of SmackDown as the enforcer, Deacon Bautista, for Reverend D-Von. In 2003, Batista became a member of the group Evolution with Randy Orton, HHH, and Ric Flair. This group gave Batista the rub he needed to become a main eventer.
In 2005, Batista won his first world title from HHH. Since then, Batista has been one of WWE’s top wrestlers and a huge favorite among the fans. His combination of size, strength, athleticism and intensity have rarely been seen or matched in the history of pro-wrestling.
There are rumors that Batista has acknowledged the physical breakdown of his body. At 6’6” and roughly 280-290 pounds, Batista is a big man who has put a lot of wear and tear on his massive frame. Each serious injury has taken at least 4 months to recover and return from. As your body gets older, it takes longer to recover from an injury. It can be physically demanding and mentally draining to go through rehabilitation. Plus, pro-wrestling is a physical sport that increases his chances of suffering another injury.
It’s hard to believe that Batista’s 7 year WWE career can come to end, but the body can only hold up for so long.http://www.examiner.com/
